When We Don’t Understand The Answers Or The Purpose Of Our Lives For Certain, Faith Will Create The Knowing With George Dillard

When We Don’t Understand The Answers Or The Purpose Of Our Lives For Certain, Faith Will Create The Knowing With George Dillard

Sometimes, we don’t seem to understand why things happen, what the answers to our questions are, or what the purpose of our lives is. But, what if I say, FAITH is all we need.

Dr. George Dillard has been preaching at Peachtree City Christian Church since 1993. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from Atlanta Christian College (Point University). He received both his Masters of Ministry and Dr. of Philosophy in Theology from Evangelical Theological Seminary.

In this episode, George is here today to share how God called him to be a preacher and how faith guided him into knowing his purpose. With love, trust, and faith in God, George has been sharing the gospel for the past forty years and faithfully continuing to do so to inspire others and bring people closer to God.

We live in a world that says that humans can hate each other and not know each other. So why can't we love each other without knowing each other? - George

In this episode:

[03:06] Knowing why does not always make it better.

[09:06] How George’s father had an awakening at church.

[12:13] When you make the shift between what you have to do and what you get to do, it changes things. - George

[13:17] George tells the story about putting together gigantic baskets for people who were struggling.

[17:48] His dad treated everyone with respect, including people of color.

[20:34] In the beginning, George didn’t want to be a pastor. But he knew in his heart, that it was what God wanted him to do.

[24:18] As he opened his Bible every day, God called him to preach.

[26:54] He called his dad at 1.30 am to tell him he was going to Atlantic Christian College to study ministry.

[29:18] Taking a class in homiletics taught him a valuable lesson, to trust God.

[33:11] How can you truly become followers of God? By loving one another.

[38:51] How do you know that there is a God?

[46:00] For George, his biggest takeaway was being blameless, he jus keeps doing his best all the time.

[53:26] Happiness is a choice.

[57:28] Tell the truth, tell the whole story. Just be honest, be transparent.

[1:00:09] It's all about direction. It's never about speed. Speed is relative, direction is definitive. God is interested in direction, not speed.

[1:07:15] We live in a world that says that humans can hate each other and not know each other. So why can't we love each other without knowing each other? - George
