How Andie Overcame Self-Sabotage By Finding Her Second Wind In Her Twenties!

Usually, our second wind happens in the second half of life, but that’s not always the case. Fortunately, for Andie, her second wind came early.

At 23, Andie Colleen felt unhappy. Despite having a good career, she felt lost, disappointed, and frustrated. Slowly, her self-trust, self-worth, and self-love were eating away. She knew something was missing.

In this episode, Andie shares how she took on the journey to find herself and learned to listen to the nudges that changed her life completely. She talks about finding her way to self-trust, self-worth, self-love, and the freedom to do what she really wanted. She finally found her way out of self-sabotage and she shares that mission as a life and mindset coach.

Trust yourself. At the end of the day, you're the only person, you can't control everything else in the world.

[04:27] The moment that changed Andie’s trajectory in life was when she realized she felt unhappy.

[09:58] Andie started reading about personality tests, and enneagrams. And that was the first step of learning and reflecting on herself. 

[10:48] After doing the first steps slowly for months, the next step was listening to what she really wanted, and learned to listen to the nudges.

[14:43] At a young age, she started feeling uncomfortable with her body and becoming unhappy. She would then have a bad relationship with food and exercise.

[16:06] She thought losing weight would solve the problem.

[19:29] She struggled and ended up more on the binge cycle of eating obsessive amounts of food, not being able to stop herself.

[21:59] How Andie got curious about enneagrams, and how it helped her realize and figure out what was happening to her.

[25:43] Coming across the concept of self-worth allowed her to reflect, trial and error it, and get to a point of acceptance and finally understanding herself.

[27:56] Switching off from self-judgment was a decision.

[33:52] What is intuitive eating?

[37:36] Waking up one morning, Andie decided to quit her corporate job.

[40:14] Quitting her job gave her the change she needed. It gave her the freedom to travel and the opportunity to become her own boss.

[42:24] How Andie learned about mindset coaching and getting certified as a coach.

[44:25] Being intuitive about her body slowly taught her to listen to her gut.

[45:35] Working as a mindset coach for free made her realize that she can help people make changes, especially the younger generation. And that started to solidify her coaching journey.

[49:21] Re-regulating and aligning your system will help you identify the underlying problem.

[50:46] Andie shares an example of how one of her clients got past procrastination by discovering his underlying trauma.

[58:01] In the beginning, Andie felt less comfortable working with clients older than her, but later realized that her age doesn’t have anything to do with her coaching, she can still bring value and help them.
